“Your reports have had a large impact on the population. Just a little more effort, and I'm sure we'll be able to count on the support of all Hillyans to rid our planet from the Alpha Sections and the DomZ.”

The Governor of Hillys, more commonly known as Governor, is an elderly woman (whose real name is unknown) who used to be the head of state on Hillys before the arrival of the Alpha Section, and the subsequent overthrow of her administration, and was to remain elusive during the DomZ war. She is radically opposed to the Alpha Sections and their methods, and believes that a general revolt will put an end to the conspiracy-war. To achieve this, the governor is willing to help the IRIS Network if, on their side, they let the truth be known and if more and more Hillyans start trusting the underground rebellion.

Although she rarely makes any public appearances, she is a key ally of the IRIS Network—especially to Jade. It is because of her that the IRIS Network is able to operate and resist the Alpha Sections. Thanks to her expertly talented team, any encrypted door, locker or data-archive on the planet can be breached— which further strengthens the cause, but only if the governor has seen enough proof.

Purpose[]

A governor is, in most cases, an individual public official with the power to govern the executive branch of a non-sovereign or sub-national level of government, ranking under the head of state. In federations, governor may be the title of the politician who governs a constituent state and may be either appointed or elected. The power of the individual governor can vary dramatically between political systems, with some governors having only nominal, largely ceremonial power, while others have complete power over the entire government.

Election[]

The governor of Hillys was either democratically elected by the Hillyan citizenry, or was chosen by a higher-authority government that, presumably, regulates System 4.

Trivia[]

  • The traditional female form of governor is governess, though female officials are often referred to the male form of the noun to avoid confusion with the other meaning of the term.
  • Although being assumed in the first place, the governor of Hillys is not an active member of the IRIS Network
  • It is likely, though unspecified, that she reassumes her position of authority after the liberation of Hillys.
