Cyclopius Unit M39 is an Alpha Section machine that Jade must fight, always when nearing an electrical barrier. It can target its enemy and attempt to shoot them with a concentrated laser. It can also use a digital shield like other Alpha Section units to protect itself.
The Cyclopius is immune to normal attacks and thus the only way to destroy it is to first damage its sensor by whacking it with the Daï-jo after dodging the laser. The Cyclopius will then become blind and out of control, and continue to rapidly fire in the air. Jade must then knock into a near electical barrier to over-load and destroy the machine. Doing this is also the only way Jade can destroy an electical barrier which allows passage to the guarded section.
